orbitingasupernova:

the one good moment of the episode lmao

She decided 8 hours in that she would never tell him. It was a secret she would take with her to the grave.

She would never tell him that it definitely wasn’t 5 and a half hours she waited. It was more like 5 and a half days.

She would never tell him that she and Mickey were growing concerned when they realized that the TARDIS didn’t magically replenish food. They lived off of jam and tinned beans for the final two days. It wasn’t that bad, retrospectively, but the panic they felt was nearly suffocating.

She would never tell him that she had to play the part of ‘The Doctor’ as she attempted to calm and reassure Mickey, promising him that the Doctor would return and they would be flitting off to their next adventure. She pointedly ignored the pitying looks he kept throwing her. The ones that read, ‘You left your life for this?”

She would never tell him that there was a rogue Clockwork Android had found her and Mickey sitting outside the TARDIS. Never tell him about the deep cut that ran across her abdomen as one of their saw appendages got too close to her. Would never tell him that she took a spare wrench and smashed and crushed and destroyed—venting frustration and fear and anger upon the thing he called beautiful.

She would never tell him how abandoned and betrayed she felt. How could he leave her after promising her that he’d never do such a thing just a few days ago. She would never tell him how hurt she was, how replaced she felt. They had already had this conversation before anyway. His answer was unlikely to change.

She decided all of this in the span of 5 seconds. She watched the Doctor come back to her. Shoulders slumped with the weight of the Universe and Reinette’s death on his shoulders. His eyes were weary and she remembered he was a Time Lord, burdened to live on.

“How long did you wait?”

She caught Mickey’s eyes and shook her head. She put on a bright smile, holding a hand to her injured stomach.

“Only 5 and a half hours or so, no big deal.”

The Doctor grinned. “Excellent! Always wait 5 and a half hours!”

She would never add to the burden on his shoulders.

And so she would never tell him.

Can anyone rec me the angstiest post-Girl in the Fireplace fic they know of?

I mean, really, really angsty. Preferably one where Rose is feeling abandoned, insecure, upset, angry…Reinette can come on board, it can be AU, the Doctor never makes it back…

I just want it complete and I want it to be angsty!

THANKS LOVELIES.

This episode gives me all sorts of angsty feels.
